Mika Finska

Mika Finska is a seasoned expert in international business development, collaboration, and investor relationship management, known for his bright, positive, and insightful approach to fostering global partnerships. With a career spanning over 40 years across public, governmental, and corporate sectors, he has been instrumental in building connections between businesses, investors, and innovation ecosystems worldwide.

Mika has over a decade of experience at Business Finland, a key governmental organization driving Finland’s global economic growth. His work has centered on internationalization, funding, and strategic business collaborations, with a focus on fostering impactful ecosystems. Currently serving as Ecosystem Manager at Business Finland, he activates and supports companies and research organizations in innovative collaborations, growth acceleration, and export expansion.

Holding a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, and recognized as a Certified Board Member (HHJ) by the Finland Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, Mika has developed a strong background in business economics, sustainability, and digitalization, along with hands-on experience in startup development and angel investing—having both supported and founded startups himself.

His international footprint includes a three-year tenure in Hong Kong at the Consulate General of Finland, where he built strong relationships with PE/VC investors, large corporations, governmental entities, and R&D organizations. As an active participant in Nordic Innovation House Hong Kong, he served as Chairman of the Board (2022-23), strengthening cross-border innovation and Nordic business presence in the region.

With a vast global network and deep expertise in investment, public-private collaboration, and business growth, Mika continues to drive strategic partnerships and to be a bridge between companies, investors and international opportunities.
